I ripped out the comments form on my blog and replaced it with a Flash app that submits right into the database. Now I can take out the comments.php file which bots use to inject comment spam. The downside is I don't know of any way to easily install this. It would take someone who knew HTML pretty well and could upload all the AMFPHP files. It's all pretty easy but not for the novice. The upside is that I haven't had a single comment spam submission.
